The KemokAI™ AKILI Academy was founded by Tiangay Kemokai, a legal pioneer and strategist with a deep commitment to justice and equity. Drawing on her experience advising corporate and non-profit leadership on restorative frameworks and inclusive policy development, she recognized the critical need for governance that safeguards against technological exploitation.

Her unique background—blending hands-on legal mediation with a passion for education as a former law lecturer—shapes the Academy's mission: to provide practical, impactful learning that empowers communities and innovators to build a more equitable digital future for Africa.

The KemokAI™AKILI Academy is building the next generation of AI leaders. Our inaugural cohort will launch in September 2026. Our admissions process is designed to identify passionate, innovative, and community-driven individuals. The Admissions & Registrar's Virtual Office will be your guide to the process and your point of contact for any questions.

PHASE 1:  
Join the Priority List (Open Now!)

Submit your information to join our exclusive mailing list. You'll be the first to receive the official application, invitations to live webinars with the faculty, and early insights into the curriculum.

PHASE 2:  
Official Application Window (Opens: January 2026)

The formal application will be released to our priority list first. It will include questions about your background, motivation, and a brief problem-solving exercise.

Interviews (April - May 2026)

Select applicants will be invited for a virtual interview.

PHASE 4:

Admissions Decisions (June 2026)

Successful applicants will receive their offer letters and enrollment materials.

Cohort Onboarding (September 2026)

Orientation and the program begin.
